As we alluded to above, there are a few additional things to bear in mind when choosing your strikers and forwards in FIFA 19, with slightly different factors becoming more or less important depending on the mode and formation you're playing.

For Career Mode, potential is important too - Some players have higher built-in potential for growth than others, and if you're planning on playing at least two seasons of Career Mode then it's going to have a major impact on your squad. It's also a great way to pick up a bargain, too, so if you're keen on finding some youngsters take the time to go over our detailed list of the best FIFA 19 potential wonderkids and young players, whcih includes some of the finest young strikers in the game. For Ultimate Team, remember you can use Chemistry Styles - Chemistry Styles, if you didn't know, add up to a whopping 90 points to your player's attributes, spread according to the Style you choose. You can read more on Chemistry in general in our guide to how FIFA Chemistry works, and likewise the best FIFA 19 Chemistry Styles in our detailed guide to those, too. Think about your style of play when looking at stats - We mentioned this briefly above, but certain strikers will of course work better in certain formations and styles. Strength, Heading, Ball Control and Short Passing suit target men, whilst Finishing is always useful, Long Shots suit CFs who work outside the box, and Acceleration and Sprint Speed do, of course, help you spread the pitch with pacey poachers sitting on the last man's shoulder.

The release of Football Manager 2019 is imminent, meaning its time to prepare for sleepless nights, cancel any social plans and acquaint yourself with the Bosnian second division.

Here are the best finishers in the new Football Manager.

Signed from Lyon this Summer, 17-year-old Willem Geubbels’ physical stats in Football Manager 2019 are loaded.

Acceleration, pace, strength and jumping all rank in the high teens.

Solid first touch, composure, finishing and passing make him a serious threat in the striking department.

Anyone who begins their Football Manager 2019 career as the manager of Aston Villa needn’t worry about signing a striker.

From the first minute of pre-season Tammy Abraham is banging in goals left, right and centre, typically finishing top goalscorer of the English Championship.

The Englishman typically doesn’t break into his parent club’s first team for the first two seasons, but still increases in value to a lofty £20m. Pace, strength and finishing are among his strongest stats.

Available for £5m early in the game, Florin Andone’s price quickly inflates to five times that after a couple of successful seasons.

With strong physical stats, a high work ethic and solid off the ball stats, Andone quickly grows into one of the English Premier League’s top goalscorers.

The Belgian forward may be in Liverpool’s shop window at the moment, but according to Football Manager 2019’s predictions the 23-year-old grows into one of the best strikers in the game.

After just two seasons Origi is typically worth over £50m with first touch, flair and pace all in the high teens.

Hamburg attacker Fiete Arp almost instantly becomes a prolific striker in Football Manager 2019, vying with Robert Lewandowski and co for the Bundesliga golden boot.

The German prodigy’s off the ball finishing and anticipation are all just shy of 2o after a season or two, making him deadly in front of goal.

Another player who doesn’t waste his time in lighting up the Bundesliga is Marcel Sabitzer.

The Austrian can be deployed either as a wide attacking midfielder or a striker, but his high finishing, stacked physical stats and aggression make him a complete and utter handful for opposition defences.

Watch his price climb to roughly £30m after a season or two.

The son of Atletico Madrid gaffer Diego Simeone, Argentinian Giovanni rapidly grows into one of the best strikers in the game.

Outstanding heading, anticipation and agility see him become a certified fox-in-the-box.

Available for £12-15m at the start of the game Everton can be deployed as an attacking midfielder but with impressive finishing, technique and flair the Brazilian can also be utilised as a flashy striker.

Be sure to sign him in the first season while he plays for Gremio, rather than waiting for him to be picked up by one of Europe’s big guns.

Expect his value to increase to the £50m mark after three seasons.

At 28 Sergi Enrich is hardly a wonderkid, but the Spaniard’s potential to tear up La Liga and beyond is massive.

After two seasons the Eibar forward is typically rivalling messrs Messi, Griezmann and Diego Costa for the golden boot.

Best of all clubs don’t need to break the bank to recruit the striker who is usually available for under £10m.

This young Brazilian is already making waves in the Bundesliga and if Football Manager’s predictions are anything to go by the lad is one to watch.

High finishing, first touch, technique, acceleration and long shots see Cunha become a prolific striker in this year’s edition of the game.

This Spaniard’s finishing talents are hardly a secret, especially since his arrival on loan at Borussia Dortmund from Barcelona.

In game the striker, however, typically wants to leave Barcela outright, which sees him available for a cut price after a couple of seasons.

High finishing, first touch and his off the ball stats are all in the mid to high teens making him worth every penny.

There were high hopes for Werner ahead of the Russia World Cup, but the Leipzig striker ultimately failed to fulfil those sky-high expectations.

Despite the setback, Werner has continued to impress for his club, scoring four goals so far this season.

In Football Manager magnificent physical stats, backed up with strong finishing and off the ball stats, make Werner the ultimate target man.

Willian Jose can be implemented as both an attacking midfielder and a striker, thriving in both positions.

Available for £10m at the start of the game, the Brazilian swiftly morphs into a player worth north of £50m. His long shots, technique and strength all stand out.

The Englishman was offloaded by Liverpool this season, but in Football Manager 2019 Danny Ings evolves into one of the deadliest strikers in the Premier League.

After a season or two the forward’s services are sought after by the likes of Man City.

The majority of his stats linger in the teens, with average pace the only slight let down.

Already known for his finishing and aggression north of the border, Colombian Alfredo Morelos is a raw talent at the start of Football Manager 2019.

The 22-year-old is blessed with sublime finishing, strength and aggression stats making him an absolute pest for rival defences.

Pick the striker up for less than £10m before his price inflates dramatically.

The Belgian’s time at Chelsea hasn’t quite gone to plan with loan spells to Borussia Dortmund and Valencia punctuating an indifferent spell at Stamford Bridge.

In Football Manager 2019, however, Batshuayi evolves into a sensational striker, with excellent finishing, composure and pace stats.

Expect his value to increase to around £40m after two seasons.

The Dutchman is another player who enjoyed a less than happy spell in the Premier League, exiting Old Trafford after just 33 appearances.

Depay has enjoyed a rebirth since his exit, however, scoring 30 goals in 82 appearances for Lyon.

In Football Manager the attacker’s sky-high technical and physical stats see Europe’s biggest clubs typically circling after a season or two.

Andrea Belotti has been a reliable source of goals for Torino since joining from Palermo.

And in Football Manager the Italian’s prolific nature increases further still with finishing, anticipation and off the ball stats all ranked in the high teens.

Purchase the Italian in the first season before his price increases to over £50m.

The son of Atletico Madrid gaffer Diego Simeone, Argentinian Giovanni rapidly grows into one of the best strikers in the game. FIFA 19 best strikers - the best ST, CF, LF and RFs in - FIFA Solid first touch, composure, finishing and passing make him a serious threat in the striking department.

There is perhaps nothing quite as exciting as a wonderkid striker bursting onto the world stage and quickly becoming a star.

Think of the hype that surrounded Kylian Mbappé during his breakout campaign at Monaco. Or, for those with longer memories, the anticipation every time an 18-year-old Michael Owen got on the ball for Liverpool

So it’s natural that when you begin your latest save on Football Manager 2019 that you go hunting for a wonderkid forward. After all, who doesn’t want a player who can make the difference in tight games for years to come?

Finding these wonderkids takes time, though, and not everyone has that. So we’re here to help.

We have already put together a list of the best wonderkid goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and wingers on this year’s edition of FM. And now we’ve got to the strikers…

FIFA 19 best strikers - the best ST, CF, LF and RFs in - FIFA

For even the most seasoned of strikers, Serie A can be a tough nut to crack. So when Pellegri burst onto the scene at Genoa, scoring braces in the Italian top flight as a 16-year-old, Europe’s biggest sides quickly took notice.

Monaco moved quickest to sign the young striker, though, and he joined the Ligue 1 side in January 2018. It’s why you won’t be able to land him on FM19 before the 2018/19 campaign gets underway.

While Monaco will accept a bid of around £55million, Pellegri won’t be interested in departing. The following January is a different story.

His price-tag won’t have dropped but he is willing to leave and will want around £30,000-a-week and a role in the first-team squad.

FIFA 19 best strikers - the best ST, CF, LF and RFs in - FIFA

The young striker, who has modelled his game on England star Harry Kane, was wanted by Bayern Munich in the summer following Hamburg’s relegation from the Bundesliga.

Yet instead of following many a young German talent in signing for the Bavarians, Arp decided to sign a new contract with HSV and set his aim on helping the club secure promotion back to the top flight.

However, on FM19 he is willing to depart if a fee can be agreed with cash-strapped Hamburg. The Germans will accept an offer of around £19million for the youngster and he will only require a weekly wage of £19,000.

FIFA 19 best strikers - the best ST, CF, LF and RFs in - FIFA

A product of the Lyon academy, the 16-year-old forward had made only four appearances for OL before Monaco decided it was worth spending €20million to sign him in the summer.

As such you won’t be able to buy the French wonderkid straight from the off on FM19 as he won’t consider leaving his new club.

By January it’s hit and miss. There are occasions he is happy to discuss terms if Monaco accept a bid, which will have to be around £50million.

However, if he’s not ready to talk, wait a couple of months and go again. Geubbles will be open to a move ahead of the summer transfer window and will want a wage of around £22,000-a-week to make the switch.

FIFA 19 best strikers - the best ST, CF, LF and RFs in - FIFA

The young Norwegian striker has already agreed to join RB Salzburg in January 2019, so you’ll have to be patient if you’re to land his signing.

Ahead of the 2019/20 season you can make your move. Salzburg will want a fee of around £11million for the teenager, which isn’t enough to scare off many midtable sides let alone the best in Europe.

His wage demands can be steep, however. He will want around £65,000-a-week while his agent will expect a fee of around £1.5million for his services.

FIFA 19 best strikers - the best ST, CF, LF and RFs in - FIFA

Bayer have a number of wonderkids – as touched on here and here – and Paulinho is another to add to the list.

The German club paid Vasco da Gama €20million to sign the forward and he has only just arrived in the Bundesliga when you begin your save.

So, at that stage, there’s no chance he’ll leave. The following summer he will.

Bayer can be coaxed into selling for £55million and the young Brazilian will expect a wage of around £60,000-a-week and will want to be a rotation option.

FIFA 19 best strikers - the best ST, CF, LF and RFs in - FIFA

Perhaps it’s because of the emergence of the likes of Frenkie de Jong, Matthijs de Ligt and Donny van de Beek that the hype around Dolberg has dwindled over the last year.

However, that is to your benefit on FM19. The Dane remains an excellent prospect and the ideal advanced forward for a side that plays possession football.

And best of all, Ajax are willing to let him depart for a fee of around £22million.

FIFA 19 best strikers - the best ST, CF, LF and RFs in - FIFA

Given the Argentine has only just signed for PSV there is no point pursuing him from the off. He simply won’t be interested in a move.

So be patient, add him to your shortlist and return for the striker in January. The Dutch club are usually willing to sell for around £13million and Romero is far happier to engage in contract talks.

If you’re one of Europe’s biggest sides, he will happily accept the role of being a hot prospect and his wage demands will be in line with that; around £9,000-a-week.

What might be the smart move, though, is to allow him to finish the campaign with PSV where he is usually a regular in the first-team squad.

FIFA 19 best strikers - the best ST, CF, LF and RFs in - FIFA

The Bundesliga is often seen as the ideal training ground for young talent. And, as a result, several wonderkids are given their opportunity to shine.

Eggestein is one such player. The Germany Under-21 international has been eased into the first-team picture at Werder Bremen this season but has impressed.

It’s why on FM19 he is one of the division’s most promising young strikers. And Werder know it.

They will want around £23million for Eggestein and may even ask for the option of loaning him back until the end of the 2018/19 campaign. You can, of course, remove that but expect the price to rise by a couple of million.

The 20-year-old won’t command huge wages, around £13,000-a-week, and his other demands are reasonable too.

FIFA 19 best strikers - the best ST, CF, LF and RFs in - FIFA

The Serbian wonderkid, who recently scored five goals in a game, starts FM19 on a season-long loan at Eintracht Frankfurt from Benfica.

The German club have an option to make his signing permanent for around £10million and usually trigger this at the end of the campaign.

That means that Jović isn’t likely to be going anywhere until January 2020 at the earliest as he isn’t willing to depart his ‘new’ club so soon after joining.

You’ll have to play the long game to land the Serbian but he will certainly be worth the chase.

FIFA 19 best strikers - the best ST, CF, LF and RFs in - FIFA

The Brazilian is one of the most promising talents in world football and that is reflected on FM19. Sadly, however, you’ll have an arduous mission to undertake if you want him to join your club.

Real Madrid already have a deal in place to sign Rodrygo, with the forward arriving in the Spanish capital in the summer of 2019. At that point, even if you were to have a mammoth bid accepted, he won’t want to leave his new club.

And so you will have to wait another year. By this point his value will, depending on how many games he’s played, hugely increased and Los Blancos won’t be willing to sell unless you stump up a fee in excess of £100million.

What might be the smart move, though, is to allow him to finish the campaign with PSV where he is usually a regular in the first-team squad. FIFA 19 best strikers - the best ST, CF, LF and RFs in - FIFA It’s why on FM19 he is one of the division’s most promising young strikers. And Werder know it.

Football Manager is back for another season as fans gear up to play the latest edition of one of the world's most popular management simulation games.

The full version of Football Manager 2019 is now live and available to play, so there is no need to wait in order to get started on a new campaign.

Whether you're attempting to win the Premier League with Manchester United or simply trying to bring your local team from the base of the football pyramid right to the top you need to be meticulous when it comes to scouting and transfer market dealings.

Despite Alan Hansen's famous line that you "can't win anything with kids" unearthing the next big thing can potentially make all the difference to a club, whether that is through on-field performances or the subsequent profit of selling them on.

Of course, it always helps if you've got a few recommendations to start with, so Goal takes a look at some of the best wonderkids to sign in Football Manager 2019 below.

If you're still playing Football Manager 2018, don't worry, you can check out our guide to the best young players to sign in that game here.

Note:

Players have been ranked using the FMScout rating system as a guide.

PA = Potential Ability

Players aged 20 and over excluded.

All ages are accurate as of the start of the game, not at the time of writing

The term 'wonderkid' is used to describe a young footballer with the potential to mature into a top level or world-class star.

In the Football Manager world, wonderkids can be identified by compiling scouting and coaching reports to discern the current and potential ability levels of an individual.

Being tagged as a wonderkid is not a definite indicator of future success though. Managers must nurture young players appropriately in order to get the best out of them.

Most goalkeepers don't reach their optimum level until the latter stages of their careers, but there are certainly plenty of youthful upstarts dotted across the game.

AC Milan's Gianluigi Donnarumma is a name that will be very familiar to football fans by now, given that he has been touted as the natural successor to Gianluigi Buffon for the past number of years.

Donnarumma is undoubtedly the top rated of all the wonderkid goalkeepers in the game and that is reflected in his price tag, which means only the biggest clubs will be able to lure him.

Player Age Nationality Club PA Value
Gianluigi Donnarumma 19 Italy AC Milan -95 £18.75m
Alban Lafont 19 France Fiorentina -9 £5m
Gavin Bazunu 16 Rep. Ireland Shamrock Rovers -85 £0.2m
Andriy Lunin 18 Ukraine Real Madrid -85 £0.07m
Christian Fruchtl 18 Germany Bayern Munich -85 £0.3m
Mile Svilar 18 Belgium Benfica -85 £0.2m
Alessandro Plizzari 18 Italy AC Milan -85 £0.6m
Diogo Costa 18 Portugal Porto -85 £0.28m
Berke Ozer 18 Turkey Fenerbahce -8 £0.35m
Marcin Bulka 18 Poland Chelsea -8 £0.02m

However, there are many other options available to consider, including Alban Lafont, who is now Fiorentina's number one after joining from Ligue 1 side Toulouse, and recent Real Madrid acquisition Andiry Lunin.

Irish teen sensation Gavin Bazunu, who is set to join Manchester City, is a cheaper alternative, while Bayern Munich's Christian Fruchtl has spent that past few seasons as Manuel Neuer's understudy.

As with goalkeepers, it is rare to find teenagers occupying the first-team places at the highest level, but there are a few whose ability merits such responsibility.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's breakthrough season with Liverpool has seriously improved his reputation and he is one of the best young defenders in the game, along with Ajax's Matthijs de Ligt, RB Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano and Manchester United's Diogo Dalot.

Player Age Nationality Club PA Value
Trent Alexander-Arnold 19 England Liverpool -95 £27.5m
Matthijs de Ligt 18 Netherlands Ajax -95 £7.25m
Dayot Upamecano 19 France RB Leipzig -95 £6.75m
Diogo Dalot 19 Portugal Manchester United -9 £13.75m
Josh Tymon 19 England Stoke City -85 £0.75m
Gian-Luca Itter 19 Germany Wolfsburg -85 £2.1m
Luca Pellegrini 19 Italy Roma -85 £1.5m
Alessandro Bastoni 19 Italy Inter -85 £1.6m
Juan Miranda 18 Spain Barcelona -85 £1.2m
Alexis Saelemaekers 18 Belgium Anderlecht -8 £5.75m

However, each of the aforementioned players will only be available to clubs who have the financial clout to sign them.

Fear not though, because the likes of Stoke City's Josh Tymon, Roma's Luca Pellegri and Barcelona's Juan Miranda, who are not too far behind in terms of potential, are much cheaper.

If you're managing a club with an abundance of prestige and money, then you will be able to splash out for some of the game's best young midfielders.

The Bundesliga is a particularly rich hunting ground, with likes of Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz and Borussia Dortmund duo Jadon Sancho and Christian Pulisic among the wonderkid midfielders.

Manchester City teen Phil Foden has been turning heads at youth level for a number of seasons, but he has finally thrust himself onto Pep Guardiola's radar at the Etihad.

Bargain hunters will find that Portugal tends to be a rewarding market for young talent and it is no surprise that the Selecao won the 2018 UEFA U19 European Championship.

Benfica's Joao Felix has the potential to be one of the best attacking midfielders in the game and he can be picked up for a reasonable fee.

Ajax continue to produce the stars of tomorrow too, with Ryan Gravenberch touted for a bright future, while Dortmund's Sergio Gomez is certainly worth scouting.

It may seem strange to class Kylian Mbappe as a wonderkid at this stage, given that he has won a World Cup with France and rubs shoulders with Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain, but his age means that he is technically one in Football Manager.

Now, even though he arguably the best teenager in the game, unless you want to break the bank, it's unlikely that Mbappe will be high on your list of wonderkid signings. Luckily there are a spate of other options to choose from.

Those who have played Football Manager 2018 will be familiar with the likes of Fiete Arp, Moise Kean and Vinicius Junior, but there are some new attackers making enough waves at youth level to have earned wonderkid status.

Kylian Mbappe 19 France PSG -95 £66m

Brenner 18 Brazil Sao Paulo -85 £0.08m
Ben Woodburn 18 Wales Liverpool -85 £9.25m
Troy Parrott 16 Rep. Ireland Tottenham -85 £0.08m

Willem Geubbels, who recently signed for Monaco, is one to keep an eye on, while Porto youngster Fabio Silva has the potential to be an excellent bargain signing.

France, Italy and Brazil seem to be producing the best young strikers, but there is some emergent talent in the Premier League in the form of Liverpool's Ben Woodburn and Tottenham's Troy Parrott.

Now, even though he arguably the best teenager in the game, unless you want to break the bank, it's unlikely that Mbappe will be high on your list of wonderkid signings. Luckily there are a spate of other options to choose from. Recently moved to Juventus and already gaining his form. The legendary goalscorer came second on the previous list of FIFA world ranking. Back in Madrid, Ronaldo manages to be among the best strikers in the world particularly in view of his tremendous efforts which helped his side in claiming both La Liga and the UCL in the previous season 2016/2017. At the time, Madrid’s coach –Zinedine Zidane –encouraged Ronaldo to focus more attention on important matches by limiting his presence in less important matches. Fortunately, this yielded a remarkable outcome for the star forward.

In Madrid’s final five UCL matches for 2016/2017 season, Ronaldo bagged 10 goals which eventually helped his team in claiming its twelfth UCL glory. Also in the domestic arena, Ronaldo’s brilliant goal-scoring tally contributed to Madrid’s La Liga triumph over Barcelona in 2016/2017 season. Following his brilliant overall performances in the previous season, Ronaldo claimed the Ballon d’Or for the fifth time, placing him on a par with his greatest rival –Lionel Messi.

Messi’s performances in the previous season were awesome but the Catalan star couldn’t clinch more than a single trophy, being Copa del Rey. At the expense of Messi and his side [Barcelona], Real Madrid triumphed both in La Liga and the UCL. Though Messi claimed a better goal-scoring edge above C. Ronaldo in La Liga, the Argentine lost last season’s Ballon d’Or.

Currently, Lionel Messi is on a remarkable form this season, scoring at a great pace. Quite frankly, the star forward is on the right path to fight for the next Ballon d’Or.

For years, Sergio Aguero has been Man City’s top goal scorer. He is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the EPL. With the arrival of Gabriel Jesus in the previous year, Aguero was left out of his club’s starting XI and this nearly threw his Man City career into confusion. Aguero is no doubt a prolific goal scorer but his recurring injury spells have almost struck him out of Pep Guardiola’s starting XI.

FIFA 19 best strikers - the best ST, CF, LF and RFs in - FIFASergio Aguero

Meanwhile, Argentine star Sergio Aguero is an outstanding forward who focuses more on scoring goals which place his club at the top level in the EPL. For the current EPL season, he has proven to be Man City’s top forward.

Previous season, Aguero took his goal-scoring tally to 32 goals, drawing him very close to Alan Shearer’s record of 36 goals. In the first half of the current EPL campaign (2017/18), Aguero had the total of 12 goals and this placed his side [Man City] clearly above other EPL sides. Towards the end of 2017, Aguero reached a significant milestone as Man City’s all-time top scorer after having displaced the 78-year-old record of 177 goals previously set by Eric Brook.

Harry Kane is Tottenham’s sharpshooter and top scorer. For two consecutive seasons, he bagged the EPL’s golden boot and without any doubt, his remarkable form keeps him amongst the world’s best strikers. In 1995, Alan Shearer reached a milestone of 36 EPL goals, making him the first EPL player to do this in a calendar year. However, Harry Kane’s impressive goal-scoring form earned him a total of 39 EPL goals in a calendar year. With this, Harry Kane broke Alan Shearer’s long-standing record and further emerged last season’s highest goal scorer in the English Premier League.

Whenever he is in the game, Harry Kane proves his striking profession and links up brilliantly with his teammates. So far in his career, he is yet to receive a silverware but considering that he has been on Real Madrid’s radar, a move to the Los Blancos’ side should grant him his first silverware.

Prior to the start of the previous season, Neymar completed a mouthwatering move to PSG in a deal attracting the highest transfer fee in the history of football. Though Neymar left Barcelona amidst slight controversies, the Brazilian star would be remembered for his remarkable contributions –particularly his outstanding performance at a UCL match which saw Barcelona thrash PSG 5 goals to 1. Meanwhile, his performance herein had a hand in PSG’s strong determination to add him to their squad.

Having completed his ground-shaking move to the biggest-spending German side, Neymar ended the year 2017 with a total of 27 assists and 29 goals for the duo of PSG and Barcelona. Considering his magnificent contributions to PSG’s squad so far, Neymar has been described as one of the aspiring Ballon d’Or winners in the nearest future. Currently a 26-years-old, Neymar has enough time to add great achievements to his career and he is undoubtedly one of the best forwards in football.

Robert Lewandowski is Bayern’s forward and the most important goal scorer in the German team. In the previous season, Lewandowski narrowly escaped being defeated by Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the fight for Bundesliga’s golden boot. Lewandowski –who frequently bagged goals in every competition –emerged as Bundesliga’s highest goal scorer for 2016/17. Coming behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Lewandowski emerged as the third highest goal scorer in last season’s UCL.

FIFA 19 best strikers - the best ST, CF, LF and RFs in - FIFARobert Lewandoski

Undoubtedly, Lewandowski perfectly fits into the class of the world’s best centre-forwards. Precisely, his remarkable performances contributed to Poland’s first World Cup qualification since 2006. As regards scoring goals, only a few players do it better than Lewandowski. Irrespective of fact that Lewandowski is surrounded by important playmakers like Frank Ribery and Arjen Robben, the Polish forward proves to be a complete footballer.

Gonzalo Higuain recently moved to Chelsea, formerly Juventus’ top striker and his move from Napoli to Juventus signified that some clubs wouldn’t mind selling their best players to domestic rivals. Following the completion of his £75m move to Juventus, Higuain performed remarkably and finished his first season at Juventus with the total of 24 goals. Fortunately, his goals contributed to Juventus’ Serie A triumph for the 6 th consecutive season. Besides their outstanding Serie A performances for 2016/2017, Juventus succeeded in securing a spot in the final of the UEFA Champions League. However, in the final match, the Old Ladies suffered defeat at the hands of Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Edinson Cavani is an Uruguayan star and PSG’s topmost striker. Though he has been criticized a number of times, Edinson Cavani’s prolific goal-scoring record speaks well of him. Prior to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s summer move to Man United in 2016, Edinson Cavani didn’t have enough chance to prove himself as PSG’s most important scorer. But with the former’s absence, Cavani has been able to stand his ground as PSG’s top scorer bagging impressive 35 goals in 36 appearances.

Not On The List

Aubameyang is precisely one of the best strikers in the world of football. He is most acclaimed for his last season goal-scoring tally which earned him 31 goals in 32 Bundesliga matches. This was apparently his best season and the crucial reason which triggered Arsenal’s interest in signing him. Prior to his move to the EPL, Aubameyang competed fiercely with Bayern’s Lewandowski for Bundesliga’s golden boot of 2016/17. Though Lewandowski defeated him in the battle, Aubameyang has been highly rated for his beautiful goal-scoring record.

Despite having Aubameyang in its squad, Gabon was eliminated during the group stage of last year’s AFCON competition. Gabon’s poor performance as the host of the competition was apparently one of Aubameyang’s flaws.

Mauro Icardi is currently the most important goal scorer for his Serie A side Inter Milan. Sometimes in 2016, Icardi’s Inter Milan spell was nearly given a blow when the forward criticized his club’s radicals. In the course of this controversy, Icardi was reported to have written the words “I will bring 100 criminals from Argentina who will kill them on the spot’’. Had he been an average or less important player, Icardi might have found it difficult to secure his stay in Inter Milan’s squad.

However, on FM19 he is willing to depart if a fee can be agreed with cash-strapped Hamburg. The Germans will accept an offer of around £19million for the youngster and he will only require a weekly wage of £19,000. Obviously, Cristiano Ronaldo is the best striker but only a few can pay for his price. Hopefully, this league has at least three other amazing strikers: Higuaín, who is a goal machine; Mertens, is faster, has a bad header but plays a lot for the team; and Immobile, who is a kind of mix of the other two.

For lower budgets, there are also quality options like Icardi or Alejandro Gómez.
