Why is the country of Africa not available to use
Commercial strategy from EA.
I have a few complaints. Croatia, Costa Rica, Iran, Ghana and other top African teams are more deserving of their national teams being in the game over ones like Canada and India. Get those weak teams off. My next complaint is with some teams being unfairly rated low while some teams (mostly from MLS) being rating to high in comparison. There is something wrong when, for example, that Columbus Crew is rated the same as most strong South American teams. I will like to hear the argument on why MLS’s best teams deserve a 3 1/2 star rating as clubs like Atletico Mineiro and Atletico Nacional. Considering MLS teams have not accomplished anything in CONCACAF for nearly 2 decades, I know anyone arguing on behalf of MLS will have nothing to counter my argument. CONCACAF is not on par with CONMEBOL nor better than AFC. MLS has not done better than the in-game AFC leagues that are unfairly ranked weaker than them. I hate how EA FIFA is appealing to Americans inferiority complex in the sport by giving into demands to make it seem like American clubs are becoming stronger than they really are. American clubs are growing in quality, but they are still only a 3 at best if a club like Colombia’s Santa Fe is given the same rating.
I understand UEFA is the most popular confederation in the world with the most popular tournaments, but can we please have some variety? Konami does not have licensing for Copa Libertadores anymore. Please put that in the game to compliment and add more appeal to the South American leagues added. Konami’s older PES games having both the UEFA Championship League, Europa League and Copa Libertadores was a feature I always dreamed EA FIFA would add to their game series. Sadly, that may never happen.
My final complaint is not seeking Russia and Greece’s leagues added to the game. There are actually good teams in weak leagues that make it far in UEFA’s tournament that deserve to be in the ‘other’ section instead of strong teams in strong to decent level leagues like Russia and Greece clubs.

How many TOTY players will you pack this year?
The big day is upon us at last – the day that FIFA 19 fans around the globe finally find out which players made it into the Team of the Year (TOTY), the most prestigious and coveted accolade a player can achieve (at least, in a gaming sense) and you can now pack every single TOTY player.
The TOTY selection is a huge part of FIFA, with gamers and football fans raging across the internet to sing the praises of their favourite players. Was Lionel Messi better than Cristiano Ronaldo this year? Does Harry Kane really deserve a spot in the best team of the year after winning the World Cup Golden Boot? How many French players will feature after a stunning World Cup win? How many years can Dani Alves keep sneaking into the best team in the world for no discernible reason?
Well those questions are finally answered, as the full team has just been announced on Twitter.
A stunning team has made the cut this year, with a few surprises thrown into the mix which are sure to anger a few fans who were just begging for Paul Pogba to make an appearance. So who made it?
It was a ridiculously busy year for football, with the FIFA World Cup throwing up a bunch of surprises, as well as a stellar 12 months of league, cup and international football.
But we finally know who made the team.
Christiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Kylian Mbappe all made the cut as the three best attacking footballers in the world.
The midfield trio of Kevin De Bruyne, N'Golo Kanté, and Luka Modrić make for an incredibly dangerous threat.
The defensive wall is made up of Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, Virgil Van Dijk, and Raphael Varane.
Manchester United keeper, David De Gea completes the 2019 FIFA Team of the Year.

Harry Kane is conspicuously missing from the team, as are World Cup winning Paul Pogba, Antoine Griezmann, and Huge Loris - we wonder if they will be upset at the neglect? But despite some odd inclusions and some weird omissions, we think this is a pretty OP team.
Twitter has already blown up with reactions of the TOTY, with some fans more upset than others.

The happy bonus is that you can go onto FIFA 19 right now and get the chance to purchase every single one of the TOTY players in packs.
As of 6pm this evening (January 10) you can use FIFA coins or FIFA points to buy packs in the hopes of securing the elusive and immensely rare TOTY players.
Alongside this, in a sudden and weird change for FIFA 19 and the TOTY formula, EA Sports is also adding a 12th player to the TOTY squad.
If you login to FIFA 19 before the end of the week, you can cast your vote to pick the Fan's Choice TOTY 12th player - sort of like a runners-up medal for your favourite player that didn't quite make the team.
There are five nominees - arguably all players who only just missed out on a spot in the Ultimate XI this time round.
You must pick from Liverpool's Salah, PSG's Neymar, Atletico Madrid's Griezmann, Chelsea's Hazard, and Manchester United's Pogba. To be honest, who ever wins will have a ridiculously OP card, so we don't really mind who wins.
If you spend a lot of time playing FIFA 19 Ultimate Team, you will know that these players will be INCREDIBLY expensive, costing millions of coins just to buy one.
You can get them in packs, but the odds are stacked greatly against you, and millions of other players will be desperately opening packs in the hope of earning a player in the short 24-hour period they are available.
TOTY packs will be available to buy at 6pm UK time tonight, but supply will dry up very, VERY quickly, so you are gonna have to be jonny-on-the-spot to make the most of the sale.
Early, rough estimations of player values have been thrown out online for you to check out, but we have taken a look to discover what we think the players might cost, just in case you pack one and want to sell, or you have a few million lying around and want to buy one.

FIFA TOTY for FIFA 19 FUT TOTY has finally been revealed. With nominees for the ultimate team of the year released last week the voting had started, culminating in the final results being released recently. In this FIFA TOTY guide we'll detail how the FIFA 19 TOTY vote works, how many players are included, and what the result means for FIFA 19 FUT. EA, being the firm behind the hugely popular FIFA video game series, plays a large role in the world of football. While FIFA is virtual, the game's stats are based on real world performances, with the Ultimate Team mode receiving new cards each week that mark the best players in the week that has been. It makes sense, then, for EA to run a vote on the best players of the year, with the winning players receiving special cards in FIFA 19 Ultimate Team.
EA has picked a list of 55 players, covering goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and attackers, and has asked a group of media, athletes, and FIFA community members to vote for their best players, using a 4-3-3 formation. Votes are based on real world performances over the last year, with 60% of the final vote coming from this curated group and the remaining 40% decided by EA Sports.

They'll set you back a pretty penny, but when you're able to play with some of the best FIFA 19 players of all time, it's a small sacrifice. These incredible players can be found in packs, but the chances of getting one is so slim, your best bet is to fork out the big bucks on the transfer market. Fan of the classics? May we present Pele from the FUT Prime Icon Moments package. The three-time World Cup winner was famed for being able to head the ball as hard as most people could kick it, and that’s represented with a 99 Heading Accuracy and 93 Jumping stat. If you spend 7.5m coins on this card, stick the ball on his bonce and watch the goals fly in. Not a fan of crosses? Pele’s 97 Dribbling, 96 Acceleration and 99 Finishing allow him to slot into any side built for counter attacks.
At his peak, Maradona could nutmeg a mermaid. In his FUT Prime Icon Moments iteration, his 99 Dribbling and 99 Ball Control ratings mean he can nutmeg most things you put in front of him. Costing 3.8m coins, the two-time Serie A and World Cup winner puts the “luxury” into “luxury player” – best operating from the number 10 position, where gamers can use Diego’s 94 Short Passing, 90 Long Passing and 89 Crossing to pick apart defences. Still sore about Mexico ‘86? Don’t worry, Maradona's Heading Accuracy is only 70 rated.
Nicknamed “Donatello” by his Paris Saint Germain teammates, there’s nothing too cerebral about Mbappe’s TOTY card: he’s *rapid*, 99 ratings for Sprint Speed and Acceleration making him the fastest player in FIFA 19. This elite Mbappe card may cost 3.7m coins, but once purchased, your FUT team will have a striker who makes a mockery of high lines and offside traps. He even has perfect 99-rated Heading Accuracy. Give him half a yard and he’s away. There’s fast, and then there’s Mbappe.
We need to talk about Kevin. Specifically, how his TOTY card makes him the best player in FIFA 19. Available for 2.1m coins, this iteration of De Bruyne comes with 99 Short Passing, 99 Crossing and 97 Long Passing, giving a passing range superior to former pass masters Messi and Modric. The joy of this De Bruyne card is its versatility: 99 Shot Power and Long Shots, coupled with 92 Finishing mean can take care of the goals himself, and his 94 Dribbling and 88 Sprint Speed make him comfortable on either wing if you prefer a 4-3-3 formation. FIFA 19 has a new assist king.
Perfect scores in Standing and Slide Tackles. 98 for Interceptions and 96 for Marking, TOTY Sergio Ramos can snuff out all manner of attacks. He’s nimble too, an 86 Acceleration and 85 Sprint Speed allowing him to put pause on any would be counter attacks. Fittingly for Mr. Clutch, Ramos comes with 99 scores for Jumping and Heading Accuracy, making him deadly at both attacking and defending free kicks and corners. Yours for only 2.1m coins, add him to your side and never concede again.
Manchester United fans will tell you, “Dave Saves”. This TOTY version of the Spaniard costs 910,000 coins and is a bit like Gandalf the Grey fighting the Balrog, doing all manner of things to make sure bad things do not pass. De Gea’s 98 Goalkeeping Reflexes, 97 Diving and 93 Positioning make him able to cover all manner of shots fired at him. Modern keepers need to be good with their feet and so is this De Gea card, registering a 93 score for Kicking. Stick him up for a corner in the final minutes and have yourself a party.
He may wear Junior on his shirt, but there’s nothing secondary about Neymar’s TOTY card. Costing 4.9m coins, this iteration of the Brazilian forward comes with 99 Dribbling, Ball Control, Acceleration and Agility, allowing him to embarrass defenders with ease. 95 ratings for Short Passing and 88 for Long Passing make this Neymar incredible for fans of dribbling tricks and skills and equally comfortable playing as a 10 or on the wing. The lad’s a near octopus of attacking options, who’ll have you chaining Rainbow flicks in no time.

We'll have to wait until launch to see if EA can sort this
FIFA 19 fans may not be able to play with three of the world’s biggest football nations.
Brazil, Croatia and Uruguay were missing from the team select menus in the FIFA 19 beta, which was first spotted by FIFA website Fifaultimateteam. it before being picked up by a number of YouTubers.
Although the Liga do Brazil is included, it appears EA may have struggled to acquire the licence for the countries.
This means you won’t be able to play with them on kick off or seasons.
Even though this is the beta version of the game, should there be a licensing issue, there’s a very slim chance EA would resolve it in time for release on September 28.
It’s not the first time countries have been missing from the series. In fact, 12 key international teams were absent from last year’s game.
Serbia and Croatia were omitted in FIFA 18, as well as big Asian countries such as South Korea, Iran and Japan.
From the CAF, Nigeria, Senegal, Tunisia, and Morocco were not included while Costa Rica and Panama were missing from the CONCACAF region.
CONMEBOL’s Peru wasn’t in the game either.
EA did however add the teams to the World Cup mode – although it seems as though some of their usage may have been tied to a time-sensitive licence that didn’t extend beyond the competition.
FIFA 19’s demo is fast approaching with all signs pointing to an early September release.
Using that as a guide, we’ve pulled together everything you need to know about the FIFA 19 demo.
How many teams will be in playable in the demo?
There will nine teams to choose from in the demo.

Amazingly, Dortmund were only just added to the roster after the German team dumped PES and switched allegiances to EA.
It’s not known yet what stadiums will feature, but we’re almost certain there won’t be nine of them.
The demo will likely offer offline play with up to two players – and may include a playable section of The Journey, although no details have been confirmed.
There are also a host of new gameplay features and tweaks set to arrive to this year’s game.
Here are the most important.
Will I be able to play online?
No – the demo will be offline only.
Will The Journey be included?
Highly unlikely – but perhaps a trailer may make the cut.
Game plans have been introduced this year – which are set up before a match.
Here, you can set what tactics your team has depending on certain situations – such as if they’re 1-0 up or losing a match.
Once you have made the plans, simply assign to a D-pad press and you’re good to go.
Unlike last year, when it was hard to see if a tactical option had been executed, there’s now a clear toggle for on-the-fly instructions.
You’re also now able to adjust your team’s width and depth, as well as instruct your full backs what kind of runs to make in attack or your centre back to cover certain areas of the pitch.
There’s greater control over your team’s defensive style, too – with new settings: “pressure after possession loss,” “constant pressure,” “drop back,” “balanced,” and “pressure on heavy touch.”
If you tap Circle or B just as your foot hits the ball, you massively increase the chance of striking it into the top corner.
It’s all about timing, so get it wrong and you’ll be punished with a scuffed shot.
Revised mini-map
A simple but welcome change.
One team will now have triangle icons, the other will have circles – so it’s easier to see who’s who.
EA has got everything from the Champions League logo including the commentary team, Derek Rae and Lee Dixon.
It’ll also have its own mode and the ability to create custom tournaments. Amazing.
This was slightly overshadowed by the Champions League announcement, but yes the Europa League will also be in FIFA 19.
Expect the full broadcast package, too.
General gameplay
Passing has been re-worked to feel more natural, while an active touch system allows better first touches from different parts of the body.
It also opens up the possibility of a feint attack – where, as the ball approaches, you can shift your weight one way, before going the other.
Stepovers, too, are reportedly easier to pull off and look more convincing – making it harder for your opponent to defend against.
Finally, 50/50 battles over a loose ball will now take into account more variables than last year – such as reaction time.

With UEFA Champions League and Europa League games going on, EA Sports has involved FIFA 19’s Ultimate Team aspect of the game. Based on team performances in the league’s group stages, certain players are getting recognition in the game. Just recently, EA showed off their top players for the two leagues’ competitions. The players are officially available through packs. Here’s a further look at the FIFA 19 Team of the Group Stage representatives which are part of EA’s UEFA Road to the Final campaign.
The FIFA 19 Team of the Group Stage cards for UCL and UEL are now available for gamers to get in the FUT packs. They include some of the best players in the game too, such as high-rated FIFA stars Lionel Messi (95), Neymar (94), and Gareth Bale (89). There are a total of 15 players for UEFA Champions League and six players for UEFA Europa League.
Other notable stars on the Champions League team include David de Rea (92), Jordi Alba (88), and Christian Eriksen (90). There’s even a 90-rated Hummels now available. EA shared the tweet below showing off which players are representing each of the Team of the Group Stage squads.
An 86-rated Sokratis heads up the Europa League’s squad. He’s joined by Lo Celso (83), Havertz (82), Tsygankov (82), Loftus-Cheek (81), and Dabbur (81). One thing gamers quickly pointed out is that there are only six players for the Europa League, rather than seven. However, an 84-rated Marco Parolo is now a Weekly Objective for players to achieve on FIFA 19 making it seven players.
Gamers can earn Parolo (untradeable) by using Italian players to score in eight different Rivals wins. That will result in the Team of the Tournament (TOTT) Marco Parolo card. As seen below, he has 80 or better Shooting, Dribbling, Defense, and Physicality skills.

Among the other comments from gamers are suggestions of other player snubs. For example, there are no players representing the Porto, Frankfurt, and/or Dortmund clubs available in these packs. In addition, some people may feel that Manchester City’s Aymeric Laporte was robbed of a spot on the team.
Keep in mind, they may also make other players available in the Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) or the Daily and Weekly Objectives. So it’s entirely possible some of these snubbed players will find their way into the packs in the near future.

But you could be the person to turn it around in the virtual realm of video games!

EA Sports has just revealed the new FIFA 19 Team of the Week FUT squad and once again it’s got a few Premier League players who starred at the weekend.
As usual, the news of the latest Ultimate Team 23-man squad was unveiled by EA Sports on Twitter.
The team of the week includes Chelsea star Eden Hazard, Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino, and West Ham attacker Felipe Anderson.

Although every FIFA 19 player is no doubt excited by the potential of a brand new TOTW squad - to not only challenge but also collect in FUT packs - it's worth remembering that there are still some hours to go to get last weeks TOTW 16 lineup.
These players will of course still be available to buy from the FIFA 19 transfer market, but if you're hoping to pack any of these players you'll only have until 6PM this evening to do so, at which point they'll be replaced by the new Team of the Week squad.

Original Story - FIFA 19 players on PS4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC are preparing for the release of the games latest Team of the Week squad coming this Wednesday.
Soon players will learn who has made the cut for the games TOTW 16 squad. But, for the sake of anyone new to FIFA Ultimate team, here's a quick Team of the Week overview:
The FIFA Ultimate Team 'Team of the Week (TOTW)' is a weekly squad of 23 in-form FUT cards who all have boosted stats compared to their normal 'standard' Ultimate Team cards.
These stat increases are made by EA Sports to reflect footballers superior performances in the real world in the past week.
For example, if England and Spurs forward Harry Kane bangs in a hat-trick, chances are, he'll get a TOTW card with improved shooting stats.
Each Team of the Week is available to play in the game all season long, but if you want to get the FUT cards for yourself, your options are more limited.

We should see today's new FIFA 19 Ultimate Team TOTW cards announced at 3pm GMT and then available from FUT packs in-game from 6pm GMT later this evening.
However, they will only be available in FUT packs for one week. From 6PM GMT this Wednesday, until next Wednesday at the same time. Each new TOTW effectively replaces the previous week.
You can also find them in FIFA 19 transfer market all season long, but usually at hugely inflated prices if you're willing to pay and have enough FIFA 19 points to spare.
Now onto business - while we can't say for definite who will be in the 23 man TOTW squad, there are certainly one or two players who have cemented their place this week following some fine performances in the last round of football fixtures.

UPDATE ONE: EA Sports has confirmed that new FIFA 19 TOTY packs will be going live on PS4, Xbox One and PC very soon.
Packs containing forwards are expected to be live on all platforms by 6pm, GMT, meaning just a short wait for those who haven't got them yet.
So while forwards will be available tonight, FIFA 19 TOTY players from other positions won't be released until later this week.
The official FIFA 19 TOTY lineup includes:

ORIGINAL: The Ultimate XI players available in FIFA 19 will be announced today by EA Sports.
The FIFA 19 TOTY Voting has been open in a variety of different ways and will culminate today in a final Ultimate Team squad.
There are a total of 55 players who have a shot at being part of the new FIFA TOTY and will also mean a lot will miss out.
Voting officially closed for the event earlier this month, meaning that no last minute changes can be made on PS4, Xbox, PC or Nintendo Switch.
FIFA 19 TOTY VOTING
EA Sports allowed for voting among a list of chosen media, athletes, and EA Sports FIFA community members.
According to EA, the “collective of ballot recipients have been chosen to represent the millions of EA SPORTS FIFA players all over the world.
“Each team will be selected from a shortlist of 55 players, nominated by EA SPORTS for their real-world performance in 2018.”
From the latest that has been shared by EA Sports, each vote will consist of three attackers, three midfielders, four defenders, and one goalkeeper in a 4-3-3 formation.
And each ballot recipient will cast their vote by posting a photo of their team on social media with #TOTYVote by January 7.
However, it should be noted that the ballots submitted by this group will only account for 60% of the final vote.
That means the remaining 40% of the votes will be cast by EA Sports, meaning the outcome is far from certain.
WHEN WILL FIFA 19 TOTY BE REVEALED?
The final FIFA 19 Team of the Year will be announced today, January 7, for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
Special TOTY player items will be available in packs for a limited time in FIFA 19 Ultimate Team, offering some serious boosts for Ultimate Team squads.
The bad news is that EA Sports has not announced a set time for when the final TOTY will be revealed.
However, based on past years, it seems likely that we will start to find out news from 3pm, GMT.
It’s unclear if EA Sports will be announcing the team in waves, based on positions, or by another means.
