Building a team is the biggest challenge in FIFA 19 Ultimate Team. It doesn’t need to be the best team, this is because the budget may not allow it, but it needs to be the player’s stature for him to obtain success.

When choosing which players to play with, you will have to look carefully at their attributes. Choosing a team based on ratings is one of the most common mistakes on FUT 19. It’s precisely this aspect that this guide focuses on. For each position, and focusing on the truly important attributes, we’ll show you who are the best athletes to choose.

It’s also important that the player checks to see if the player he chooses fits the formations he likes to play in. For example, a good full back will be useless if the player only uses a formation with three defenders. According to these formations, the player must be cautious and look at the work rate. Try to relate them with the ones we advise in our Formations Guide.

Last but not least, it’s mandatory that you tune all of your team so that the individual and team chemistry will be as high possible. For this last step to be easier, the majority of the players start to define the type of team they’re building. Some choose to gather players of the same nationality, while others decide to form a team of players from the same league. There are also more experienced players that can form hybrid teams without damaging team chemistry a lot.

All of these steps are necessary to have, or it could mean that the team is not always well built as it could be. This article aims to help those that want to form a FIFA 19 Premier League squad. Even the players that have a EPL team, could take out some valuable conclusions from this guide that could help you make your team even better.

We received thousands of comments about similar guides that we have published in previous years. Most of them have asked us to help improve their teams and the players they had. It’s important that the readers understand that this guide is simply guidance. It’s a theme too vast and the player combinations are almost infinite. Besides, there are various factors that influence the choices, like one’s style of play, the formations and custom tactics used, the available budget, the preferences or even the time spent playing. There’s still one uncertain component: a good player for someone might not be for another. If there was a better team everyone would fight to get it. Part of the fun of FIFA 19 Ultimate Team is this: everyone has their personal club and players.

Another important point and that must stay very clear is that whoever is reading this guide, it’s about some criteria we chose and should be of everyone’s knowledge:

1 ONLY GOLD PLAYERS

In this guide we didn’t consider silver or bronze player. Most players don’t assume them to be a better option than gold players, so to simplify the guide’s analysis we didn’t include them. In the future we may come to publish guides exclusively talking about these qualities.

2 ONLY REGULAR PLAYERS

In this guide we didn’t consider In Forms (IF). They’re extremely expensive and in most cases are not considered good value for money. They should only be used by players with generous budgets, that already have the best team possible and that want small upgrades.

3 ONLY NORMAL PLAYERS

In this guide we didn’t consider players that have been transferred to other clubs or that have been reviewed (UP). Only players that started their season in the Premier League and with their original attributes were considered.

4 ONLY ORIGINAL ATTRIBUTES

In this guide we didn’t consider changes made on a players performance such happens when applying training or chemistry styles cards.

Over time, prices change. That’s why we added a link where you can check anytime the updated prices.

FIFA 19 Premier League overview

No league is as spectacular as the main football competition in the United Kingdom. The champions in the second biggest league in the world are made through the made points system. Whichever team gathers the most points wins the league. The top four teams gain access to the champions league of the proceeding year, while the last three trade places with the first three promoted teams from the Football League Championship. Every season starts in August and finishes in May, having 38 game weeks with 10 matches each, being a total of 380 matches per season.

The Premier League is the most watched football league in the world, broadcasted in 212 countries and in more than 600 million homes. It’s also the second football league with more assists and the second best league classified in the UEFA league coefficients.

Since the competition began in 1992, the Premier League has only been conquered by six clubs. The dominant club is Manchester United, with a total of 13 titles. London’s teams together only won the league eight times while Manchester City won it three times. The outsiders Blackburn Rovers and Leicester City did it once.

The team making decisions are made tougher, but in a good way because of the vast quality of players in the league. Keep in mind since it is in the United Kingdom where FIFA 19 is played the most, the Premier League is the most seen inside game’s teams. This means it is also the most expensive league, so it is not recommended for players with a limited budget.

Ideas to help you building your FIFA 19 Premier League Squad

The team suggestions that follow are simple graphic indicators of the Premier League articles already published. They should serve merely as orientation because it’s impossible to build a team that fits everyone. They depend on various factors we don’t know such as budget, formation, custom tactics, style of play and player preferences.

To try and explore the needs of the maximum player as possible we suggest three teams with different budgets and formations: 4-1-2-1-2 with unlimited budget, 4-3-3 with medium budget and 4-4-2 with a low budget. Please, keep in mind that we are not saying that these are the best formations for this league. They are only generic formations to be used in all our squad guides.

The choice for this team’s players was based on the analysis made in the previous articles.

De Gea is the natural choice to the goal. Now that Courtois has move to the Spanish league, no one can be compared to him.

Van Dijk, Azpilicueta and Walker are also easy choices to the defence. On the left side we picked Mendy, but we recognize that he hasn’t the same quality of the other ten players of this team. One of the options is to replace him by someone else with a lower chemistry. An Icon would be great but having Alba linking with Azpilicueta is also an option you should take into consideration.

We used this formation not because it is the best for this league but because it is the standard formation we use for unlimited budget squads of our guides. This means that we have only two spots for three players. Kante and Kevin De Bruyne are incredibly good, especially in their positions: CDM and CAM. If you don’t want to relegate Pogba to the bench, you should pick another formation.

If Hazard has his spot guaranteed every year, on the opposite side things are a bit different. Thankfully, Salah got a huge upgrade and gives the quality that was missing to this position.

Once again, one top quality striker have to go to the bench. In our opinion, Aguero and Lukaku are the perfect pair but if you love pace, maybe you will want to replace one of them by Aubameyang.

Once all the players reach maximum individual chemistry via loyalty (achieved by each player after 10 matches for your club or by being pack pulled) you can go without a manager for your squad. They’ll be of no use while wasting contracts.

The choices for this more affordable team players were based on the analysis made previously.

In goal, Lloris will keep your goal safe. If you think he is too expensive, then you can go with Ederson. Davinson Sánchez and Eric Bailly are both fast and solid defensively. Mendy is the only player who keeps his spot in this team. Ricardo Pereira’s assertiveness completes our defending foursome.

Fernandinho is perfect to play in the centre. He has the muscle that every midfield needs. Mkhitaryan and David Silva complete the midfield. Lucas and Felipe Anderson have guaranteed place in this team. Sterling and Martial are great but also too expensive to this squad.

Over the attack line, unless you need the 5 star skills of Zaha, Vardy is an excellent choice.

If you still have some room in your budget, Roberto Firmino, Fabinho, Dembélé, Mahrez and Martial are players that would improve this squad a lot.

The choice for this budget team was based on analysis published previously.

Rui Patrício is our choice for the goal. He was one of the good additions this year to the Premier League: a must buy for every low budget squad. Coleman, Rüdiger, John Stones and van Aanholt complete the defence.

In the midfield, Ndidi and Sissoko complement each other well. Both are strong players but while the first gives security to the back line, the second is a player that usually pushes forward to assist his colleagues. Izquierdo on the left (obviously!) and Pedro on the right fill the wings in order to assist Michail Antonio and King who have both been chosen for their combination of pace and finishing stats.

I really like the 4-3-3 formation, so I think I’ll stick with it. My questions are:

– Going forward, do you think some improvements like Fabinho, Firmino, are worth it? Or should I go straight for the best players?

– For a single striker, what would be your choice? Kane seems a bit too slow, Aguero too small, maybe Lukaku? Firmino until I can get one of the best?

Any tips on a good RB for a Premier League team? I currently use Trippier because of his amazing passing skills, Walker doesn’t seem much as an upgrade besides speed and a small difference in defensive skills and i’m not sure if IF Valencia RM on 6chem is going to do me any good.

Lloris, D. Sanchez, Valencia, Aguero, Sanè are all good improvements. If you want a more defensive approach, I suggest you Fabinho. Otherwise, go fo Eriksen.

If you will wait for Black Friday, you probably will have enough coins to buy Sane, Auba and Valencia. They will improve your team a lot. Sane should be a priority since this is where you need the biggest upgrade. Another top CB may be useful too.

1) If you feel OK, then you don’t have to upgrade any of them. Probably with a few more games you will identify who is the weakest one.

2) Yes, the difference between them is big. If you want to have fun, keep with Sané. If you want to make coins, sell him. His price will drop a lot in 1.5 months.

В процессе повышения уровня команды, игрок может выбирать типы игр, в которых будет участвовать его клуб. Это может быть турнир или лига, командные игры. Можно перейти в режим сетевой игры и играть с командой другого пользователя. Во время игры, независимо от вида занятости и выполненных действий, у пользователя копятся очки, которые можно тратить на повышение уровня своих игроков. Когда пользователь решает, что у него появился лишний, слабый, ненужный игрок, можно выставить его на продажу, но только за валюту игры.

Только приступая к сетевой версии игры Ultimate Team FIFA 19, не стоит пугаться, что состав клуба не тянет на звание идеального и близко. Уровень подготовки клубных игроков режимов Kici of, Карьера значительно выше. Большая часть игроков начальной команды – уровень бронзы. Приобретая наборы карточек игроков, можно заключать отношения с игроком на уровне аренды или брать его на постоянной основе в свой клуб. Игроки, принятые в команду на условиях аренды смогут провести с клубом только семь игр. По своим способностям они превосходят постоянных членов клуба. В некоторых матчах составить конкуренцию арендным игрокам могут только игроки с высоким рейтингом, от 90 и более, например, Роналду.

Часто неопытные пользователи в первый же матч включают в команду сразу всех лучших игроков, в надежде заработать очки, одержать победу. Формируя каманду для игры, следует подумать и проанализировать команду соперника. Нет необходимости тратить силы лучших игроков для победы над командой более низкого уровня. Вполне может получиться так, что главный и лучший игрок клуба растратит свои силы и талант на второстепенные игры, и не сможет выложиться стоящей решающей игре.

Для изучения своей команды необходимо уделить немного времени. При понимании своих игроков, их рейтинга, уровня способностей вполне возможно избежать риска покупки игрока с таким же набором способностей. Команда должна быть укомплектована игроками разных амплуа, для того, что бы во время игры на поле не оставалось «черных пятен». С другой стороны, если на продажу выставлена звезда, о которой мечталось, и средства позволяют, почему бы не воспользоваться таким совпадением. Вполне возможно сразу пересмотреть своих игроков и избавиться от ненужного игрока, продав его так же, на рынке.

Сетевой режим FIFA 19 дает возможность пользователям прожить новый сезон приключений уже знакомой троицы – брата и сестры Алекса и Ким Хантеров, и их неизменного товарища Дэнни Уильямса. Несмотря на то, что участие в приключениях носит исключительно развлекательный характер, играя, есть возможность поднять уровень в основной игре, укрепить некоторые позиции.

Успешно заканчивая каждую часть путешествий друзей, пользователь получает карточки новых игроков. Их можно сразу использовать в сетевом режиме, даже в отношении звездных игроков. В итоге должна состояться разблокировка Алекса Хантера, это ценный игрок, затевающий собой всех игроков прежнего состава. Разблокированного игрока можно прокачать, повысить его уровень. За выполнение даются дополнительные игровые монеты или карты новых игроков, получить бонусы за несколько секунд потраченного времени всегда приятно. Самый простой способ получить вознаграждение – разместить указанных игроков на определенных позициях в игре, как только задание выполнено, монеты начислены, игроков можно вернуть на свои места.

Сначала может показаться, что бонусы слишком маленькие, чтобы тратить на это время, но в какой-то момент именно эти очки помогут восстановить жизнедеятельность команды. Часть заданий дает возможность заработать полезные расходные материалы – фитнес — карты, возможность автоматического продления контракта игрока. Если вовремя не применить нужный инструмент, игрока, который устал, просто придется заменить.

При открытии набора, в котором десяток различных карт, быстро скапливается определенный запас расходников. Эти карты тоже надо отправить к команде. В расходных предметах есть много полезного, например, фитнес – карты, которые помогают восстановить силы игрока во время игры.

Через 25 игр игрокам клуба, тем, что играют на постоянной основе, потребуется продление именно с использованием расходной карточки. Длительность продления будет зависеть от силы действия контракта игрока. Карту автоматического продления контракта нельзя применять к игрокам, играющим на правах «аренды», именно поэтому они не могут постоянно находиться у одного и того же пользователя.

Звездным игрокам клуба восстановить силы помогут фитнес – карты. Это актуально для тех пользователей, которые любят ускоренное передвижение своих игроков по полю (R1). По истечении такой игры, члены команды теряют много сил, в этом случае карта восстанавливает шкалу выносливости, готовит игрока к следующему матчу. При использовании расходных предметов важно применять их именно к тем игрокам, которые действительно важны для серьезного матча. При замене игроков важно так же пытаться делать равносильную замену, на игрока такого же рейтинга, одноименного амплуа. Например, замена игрока золотой категории на бронзового негативно скажется на итоге предстоящей игры.

При использовании расходных предметов так же важно следить за доступным количеством. Список доступных расходников можно проверить на каждом игроке, нажав «действие», в строке появится вкладка «использовать предмет». При нажатии выкатится весь список доступных расходных предметов, рядом будет указано их количество по каждой позиции. Использовать материалы не обязательно так, как рекомендует игра. Не всегда эти рекомендации приводят к оптимальному использованию предметов.

Фанаты FIFA помнят серии игры, где были командные сражения, в этой версии они вернулись. Участвуя командных играх, пользователи получают дополнительные монеты. Их количество зависит от того, насколько эффективно пользователь показал себя во время сражения. Все игроки в процессе делятся на группы по уровням, это дает возможность гарантированного получения набора полезных расходников, которые очень пригодятся в сезоне одиночных игр.

Пользователи выставляются для командной игры против списка команд, важно оценит рейтинг противников. Важно выбрать средний рейтинг команды, от 50 баллов, и нацелится противостоять ей. Такая стратегия дает возможность достичь большого количества целей.

По истечении 25 матчей ваши постоянные футболисты (не арендные) станут недоступны без использования тех самых предметов для продления контракта. В зависимости от мощности «контракта» вы продлеваете футболиста еще на определенное количество матчей. Эти карты нельзя применять на арендованных игроков, поэтому вы не сможете надолго задерживать в своей команде суперзвезд.

Фитнес-карты позволяют восстановить силы вашим звездам, которые пригодятся им для предстоящих футбольных матчей. Участвуйте в командных матчах

Когда зарабатываете много карт и повышаете рейтинг команды, то начните противостоять более серьезным оппонентам. Следите за вероятностью получения футболистов из карточных наборов

Открывая карточные наборы в FIFA Ultimate Team, вы с определенной долей вероятности получаете игрока той или иной уровневой группы. На самом деле есть даже точные коэффициенты получения тех или иных спортсменов.

Перейдите на вкладку «Магазин» в Ultimate Team и выберите тип интересующего набора, который хотели бы приобрести. Перед покупкой нажмите на «Параметры» или «Меню» на контроллере, чтобы узнать вероятность получения игрока определенного уровня.

Шансы будут постепенно снижаться или повышаться в зависимости от того, каких игроков вы вытянули до этого. По умолчанию вероятность выпадения тех или иных футболистов для наборов разного уровня выглядит следующим образом:

Серебряный набор — 100% шанс на футболиста 65+ уровня, 62% — 70 и выше, 11% — 73 и выше. Премиумный серебряный набор — 100% шанс на футболиста 65+ уровня, 75% — 70 и выше, 23% — 73 и выше. Золотой набор — 100% шанс на футболиста 75+ уровня, 9,1% — 82 и выше, 3,4% — 83 и выше. Премиумный золотой набор — 100% шанс на футболиста 75+ уровня, 20% — 82 и выше, 4,5% — 84 и выше.

Избегайте подкатов любой ценой

В FIFA 19 очень трудно научиться делать «чистые» подкаты, в то же время велик соблазн подкатиться под футболиста соперника после того, как был потерян мяч и на ваши ворота надвигается опасная контратака. Building a team is the biggest challenge in FIFA 19 Ultimate Team. It doesn’t need to be the best team, this is because the budget may not allow it, but it needs to be the player’s stature for him to obtain success.

When choosing which players to play with, you will have to look carefully at their attributes. Choosing a team based on ratings is one of the most common mistakes on FUT 19. It’s precisely this aspect that this guide focuses on. For each position, and focusing on the truly important attributes, we’ll show you who are the best athletes to choose.

It’s also important that the player checks to see if the player he chooses fits the formations he likes to play in. For example, a good full back will be useless if the player only uses a formation with three defenders. According to these formations, the player must be cautious and look at the work rate. Try to relate them with the ones we advise in our Formations Guide.

Last but not least, it’s mandatory that you tune all of your team so that the individual and team chemistry will be as high possible. For this last step to be easier, the majority of the players start to define the type of team they’re building. Some choose to gather players of the same nationality, while others decide to form a team of players from the same league. There are also more experienced players that can form hybrid teams without damaging team chemistry a lot.

All of these steps are necessary to have, or it could mean that the team is not always well built as it could be. This article aims to help those that want to form a FIFA 19 Premier League squad. Even the players that have a EPL team, could take out some valuable conclusions from this guide that could help you make your team even better.

It’s important that the readers understand that this guide is simply guidance. It’s a theme too vast and the player combinations are almost infinite. There’s still one uncertain component: a good player for someone might not be for another. If there was a better team everyone would fight to get it. Another important point and that must stay very clear is that whoever is reading this guide, it’s about some criteria we chose and should be of everyone’s knowledge:

1 ONLY GOLD PLAYERS

In this guide we didn’t consider silver or bronze player. Most players don’t assume them to be a better option than gold players, so to simplify the guide’s analysis we didn’t include them. In the future we may come to publish guides exclusively talking about these qualities.

2 ONLY REGULAR PLAYERS

In this guide we didn’t consider In Forms (IF). They’re extremely expensive and in most cases are not considered good value for money. They should only be used by players with generous budgets, that already have the best team possible and that want small upgrades.

3 ONLY NORMAL PLAYERS

In this guide we didn’t consider players that have been transferred to other clubs or that have been reviewed (UP). Only players that started their season in the Premier League and with their original attributes were considered.

4 ONLY ORIGINAL ATTRIBUTES

In this guide we didn’t consider changes made on a players performance such happens when applying training or chemistry styles cards.

FIFA 19 Premier League overview

No league is as spectacular as the main football competition in the United Kingdom. The champions in the second biggest league in the world are made through the made points system. Whichever team gathers the most points wins the league. The top four teams gain access to the champions league of the proceeding year, while the last three trade places with the first three promoted teams from the Football League Championship. Every season starts in August and finishes in May, having 38 game weeks with 10 matches each, being a total of 380 matches per season.

The Premier League is the most watched football league in the world, broadcasted in 212 countries and in more than 600 million homes. It’s also the second football league with more assists and the second best league classified in the UEFA league coefficients.

Since the competition began in 1992, the Premier League has only been conquered by six clubs. The dominant club is Manchester United, with a total of 13 titles. London’s teams together only won the league eight times while Manchester City won it three times. The outsiders Blackburn Rovers and Leicester City did it once.

The team making decisions are made tougher, but in a good way because of the vast quality of players in the league. Keep in mind since it is in the United Kingdom where FIFA 19 is played the most, the Premier League is the most seen inside game’s teams. This means it is also the most expensive league, so it is not recommended for players with a limited budget.

The team suggestions that follow are simple graphic indicators of the Premier League articles already published. They should serve merely as orientation because it’s impossible to build a team that fits everyone. They depend on various factors we don’t know such as budget, formation, custom tactics, style of play and player preferences.

The choice for this team’s players was based on the analysis made in the previous articles.

De Gea is the natural choice to the goal. Now that Courtois has move to the Spanish league, no one can be compared to him.

Van Dijk, Azpilicueta and Walker are also easy choices to the defence. On the left side we picked Mendy, but we recognize that he hasn’t the same quality of the other ten players of this team. One of the options is to replace him by someone else with a lower chemistry. An Icon would be great but having Alba linking with Azpilicueta is also an option you should take into consideration.

We used this formation not because it is the best for this league but because it is the standard formation we use for unlimited budget squads of our guides. This means that we have only two spots for three players. Kante and Kevin De Bruyne are incredibly good, especially in their positions: CDM and CAM. If you don’t want to relegate Pogba to the bench, you should pick another formation.

If Hazard has his spot guaranteed every year, on the opposite side things are a bit different. Thankfully, Salah got a huge upgrade and gives the quality that was missing to this position.

Once again, one top quality striker have to go to the bench. In our opinion, Aguero and Lukaku are the perfect pair but if you love pace, maybe you will want to replace one of them by Aubameyang.

Once all the players reach maximum individual chemistry via loyalty (achieved by each player after 10 matches for your club or by being pack pulled) you can go without a manager for your squad. They’ll be of no use while wasting contracts.

The choices for this more affordable team players were based on the analysis made previously.

In goal, Lloris will keep your goal safe. If you think he is too expensive, then you can go with Ederson. Davinson Sánchez and Eric Bailly are both fast and solid defensively. Mendy is the only player who keeps his spot in this team. Ricardo Pereira’s assertiveness completes our defending foursome.

Fernandinho is perfect to play in the centre. He has the muscle that every midfield needs. Mkhitaryan and David Silva complete the midfield. Lucas and Felipe Anderson have guaranteed place in this team. Sterling and Martial are great but also too expensive to this squad.

Over the attack line, unless you need the 5 star skills of Zaha, Vardy is an excellent choice.

If you still have some room in your budget, Roberto Firmino, Fabinho, Dembélé, Mahrez and Martial are players that would improve this squad a lot.

The choice for this budget team was based on analysis published previously.

Rui Patrício is our choice for the goal. He was one of the good additions this year to the Premier League: a must buy for every low budget squad. Coleman, Rüdiger, John Stones and van Aanholt complete the defence.

In the midfield, Ndidi and Sissoko complement each other well. Both are strong players but while the first gives security to the back line, the second is a player that usually pushes forward to assist his colleagues. Izquierdo on the left (obviously!) and Pedro on the right fill the wings in order to assist Michail Antonio and King who have both been chosen for their combination of pace and finishing stats.

I really like the 4-3-3 formation, so I think I’ll stick with it. My questions are:

– Going forward, do you think some improvements like Fabinho, Firmino, are worth it? Or should I go straight for the best players?

– For a single striker, what would be your choice? Kane seems a bit too slow, Aguero too small, maybe Lukaku? Firmino until I can get one of the best?

Any tips on a good RB for a Premier League team? I currently use Trippier because of his amazing passing skills, Walker doesn’t seem much as an upgrade besides speed and a small difference in defensive skills and i’m not sure if IF Valencia RM on 6chem is going to do me any good.

If you will wait for Black Friday, you probably will have enough coins to buy Sane, Auba and Valencia. They will improve your team a lot. Sane should be a priority since this is where you need the biggest upgrade. Another top CB may be useful too.

We believe that your next improvement should be someone to replace Keita. Dembélé should work.

Kovacic instead of Wijnaldum would be a good move too.

Third priority is the ST and then the LW. Firmino and Sané would be amazing but you can’t wait a few more weeks because their price will drop a lot.

1) If you feel OK, then you don’t have to upgrade any of them. Probably with a few more games you will identify who is the weakest one.

2) Yes, the difference between them is big. If you want to have fun, keep with Sané. If you want to make coins, sell him. His price will drop a lot in 1.5 months.

Приобретая наборы карточек игроков, можно заключать отношения с игроком на уровне аренды или брать его на постоянной основе в свой клуб. Игроки, принятые в команду на условиях аренды смогут провести с клубом только семь игр. По своим способностям они превосходят постоянных членов клуба. В некоторых матчах составить конкуренцию арендным игрокам могут только игроки с высоким рейтингом, от 90 и более, например, Роналду.

Вполне возможно сразу пересмотреть своих игроков и избавиться от ненужного игрока, продав его так же, на рынке.

При нажатии выкатится весь список доступных расходных предметов, рядом будет указано их количество по каждой позиции. Использовать материалы не обязательно так, как рекомендует игра. Не всегда эти рекомендации приводят к оптимальному использованию предметов.

Участие в командных матчах

Фанаты FIFA помнят серии игры, где были командные сражения, в этой версии они вернулись. Участвуя командных играх, пользователи получают дополнительные монеты. Их количество зависит от того, насколько эффективно пользователь показал себя во время сражения. These will allow you to have a better experience right from the get-go. The loan players can also be very good so that you have a decent squad at the start as you eventually build your team to where you want it to be.

Now, you also want to do the starter tasks as fast as you can. These tasks are very easy to do and they range from stuff such as selling players to changing your formation.

These tasks will give you a lot of bonuses and rewards and will end up having your team be a lot better at the start.

Also, remember to do the SBCs as much as you can. At the start, you can get the bronze players from the bronze packs and then add them to Squad Building Challenges and then have a good silver player to add to your squad.

This will allow you to get some players that will be very good in the near future. Eventually, you will be upgrading these players too but that does not mean that you cannot avail of their advantages for now.

One of the best formations that you can use is the 4-4-2 as it allows you to have a good defense as well as a decent attack.

This will be good for beginners as they will be less vulnerable at the back and will not concede as much as they could with a more attacking formation. This is the old tried and tested method of football and it seems to work.

Another formation that you can use if you have some experience with the game is the 4-2-3-1 Narrow as it allows you to have both wide berth as well as a strong center.

This means that you will have a varied play style and will be able to adapt to the changing situations that arise with playing against various different players.

4-1-2-1 Narrow is also very good. Although you will be vulnerable at the back, attacking players will revel in the fact that they can use a CAM to both score goals as well as take part in setting them up for the other players.

Use this formation with caution but remember that mastering the game with this can be a very effective way to net goal after goal.

Of course, this is very subjective and there will be players which are better for certain players than others are.

Of course, you can use Messi for his amazing dribbling skills and Ronaldo for his amazing strength and height but there are certain other players which have standout skills that can be great.

Johan Cruyff is amazing as he has some of the best skills in the entire game.

This guy is known for pretty much reinventing the game as it was known back in his hayday, and his volleys as well as his skill moves are a testament to how good of a player he actually was.

Ballack is another player that can be great for your defense. He will guide the game, as he will stay back and not try to go forward and do something that he cannot. Use him to have a great leader at the back.

For the keepers, you can use Courtois, as he is amazing in this game and will be great whichever way you look at it. There is no need for me to explain what skills a keeper needs to be great but Courtois has them.

Lastly, you can use Mbappe as he has explosive pace. He is quite easily the fastest player in the game (along with a few others) and pace is everything as far as virtual football is concerned.

You can use him to make runs wherever you want and chances are that he will get there before the defenders.

Have any new stadiums been added to the game?

FIFA 19 will feature the brand new White Hart Lane stadium, EA Sports has announced.

The deal means Spurs fans will be able to play at their brand-new stadium on both the FIFA 19 demo and the full FIFA 19 game.

The official statement on the club’s website reads: “Tottenham Hotspur has today announced Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA), creator of the EA SPORTS™ FIFA 19 computer game series, as the Club’s Official Video Game Partner.

“EA SPORTS™ previously enjoyed a successful partnership with the Club between 2012 and 2015.”

Will Ultimate Team cards look different?

Yes, FIFA fans may have just got their first look at this year’s Ultimate Team cards – after the design appears to have been leaked online.

The image shows Kylian Mbappe’s card from the upcoming game – complete with a few tweaks that give it a different feel from FIFA 18.

The big change here is the rating, which now in line with the surname, and no longer at the top left. It also features a black background to help it stand out.

Any other leagues?

Italian publication Gazzetta della Sport reported that FIFA 19 will also include the full rights to the Serie A and Coppa Italia.

Will it have cross-play?

In an interview with Eurogamer, FIFA’s creative director Matt Prior revealed cross-platform play – much like we’ve seen in Fortnite – was something EA Sports is looking into for their FIFA series.

“It’s something we often talk about,” he said.

“There are a lot of issues to work through with various first parties. But Fortnite does that now with PC to consoles.”

What are the biggest changes this year?

There are a host of new gameplay features and tweaks set to arrive to this year’s game.

Here are the most important.

If you tap Circle or B just as your foot hits the ball, you massively increase the chance of striking it into the top corner.

It’s all about timing, so get it wrong and you’ll be punished with a scuffed shot.

Game plans have been introduced this year – which are set up before a match.

Here, you can set what tactics your team has depending on certain situations – such as if they’re 1-0 up or losing a match.

Once you have made the plans, simply assign to a D-pad press and you’re good to go.

Unlike last year, when it was hard to see if a tactical option had been executed, there’s now a clear toggle for on-the-fly instructions.

You’re also now able to adjust your team’s width and depth, as well as instruct your full backs what kind of runs to make in attack or your centre back to cover certain areas of the pitch.

There’s greater control over your team’s defensive style, too – with new settings: “pressure after possession loss,” “constant pressure,” “drop back,” “balanced,” and “pressure on heavy touch.”

Revised mini-map

A simple but welcome change.

One team will now have triangle icons, the other will have circles – so it’s easier to see who’s who.

EA has got everything from the Champions League logo including the commentary team, Derek Rae and Lee Dixon.

It’ll also have its own mode and the ability to create custom tournaments. Amazing.

This was slightly overshadowed by the Champions League announcement, but yes the Europa League will also be in FIFA 19.

Expect the full broadcast package, too.

General gameplay

Passing has been re-worked to feel more natural, while a active touch system allows better first touches from different parts of the body.

It also opens up the possibility of a feint attack – where, as the ball approaches, you can shift your weight one way, before going the other.

Stepovers, too, are reportedly easier to pull off and look more convincing – making it harder for your opponent to defend against.

Finally, 50/50 battles over a loose ball will now take into account more variables than last year – such as reaction time.

Who’s going to be the cover star?

Cristiano Ronaldo has been named as the FIFA 19 cover star – alongside Neymar.

The 33-year-old was revealed as the front man on Twitter – rounding off an incredible season for the Real Madrid ace.

FIFA fans will be treated to a first look at this year’s game at EA Play on June 9, which takes place a day or two before E3 (You can read our full E3 guide here).

This list is by no means official, but the beta is certainly a good indication and is unlikely to change.

Yet another leak has been doing the rounds online, this time relating to the hotly-anticipated Career Mode.

Not quite as much to play around with as Man United, but still huge with £176,002,000.

The London club has £79,681,000 to shop with this year.

Huge budget for Gooners fans – you’ll have £110,810,000 to splash on top players.

Cardiff City

Has the smallest budget in the Prem, with just £28,667,000.

Manchester United has a huge £148,897,584 to spend in last year’s game.

However, this year, the budget has risen to £195,362,000 – the highest budget in the game.

Liverpool had £66,882,196 in last year’s game, but will have a huge £94, 010,000 to play around with this season.

The West London had £82,197,496 but now have a massive £112,435,000.

What about away from the Prem, I hear you ask? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here are some of the biggest clubs from other leagues.

Real Madrid

Los Blancos fans will have £109,1116,00 to splash on players this year – some way off Man United’s budget, but not bad.

The Catalan club is in second place with marginally less than Real Madrid – £106,000,000.

Atletico Madrid

Unsurprisingly, these guys are top of the pile by some margin, with £167,978,000.

In second place is Monaco with a hefty £44,000,000 – although we did expect more.

And in third it’s Lyon, with £32,049,000.

Fresh off the back of Cristiano Ronaldo joining the club, Juve has £83,758,000 to splurge.

Coming in second with a decent £40,663,000.

Just behind Napoli with £39,559,444.

Top of the pile with £112,672,000.

Coming in second with £63,672,000.

Narrowly missing out on second place with surprisingly low £55,007,000.

FIFA 19’s demo will reportedly land on September 13.

Gaming website TrueAchievements claim a source close to the game revealed the date – and also confirmed a section of The Journey will be available to preview.

Imagine loading up a game of Ultimate Team in FIFA 19 but instead of spending real money to get players you have to work for it?

Well, this could soon become a reality for FIFA fans around the world.

In 16 countries to be specific.

According to a report by Eurogamer, 15 gambling regulators from Europe and one from the US have together announced they will “address the risks created by the blurring of lines between gaming and gambling”.

Among those that have joined the investigation are the UK, Washington State, Spain, Ireland and France.

This comes just after Belgium started a criminal investigation into the use of loot boxes in FIFA 18 and FIFA 19.

This has put a huge amount of pressure on EA to comply with gambling regulations and could ultimately result in the removal of FIFA packs from their games entirely.

Who’s going to be the highest-rated player?

This is a tough one. The cover star is usually one of the best players and Ronaldo was the highest-rated player last year.

This year, though, we may see a number of top players with the same rating.

Who’s going to be the strongest player?

Adebayo Akinfenwa isn’t actually the strongest player in FIFA 18. Yes, you read that correctly.

The ‘Beast’ who currently plays for Wycombe Wanderers has a massive 98 score for strength in last year’s game.

However, there’s another player who trumps that feat – Seattle Sounders’ defender Roman Torres.

EA sneakily made the centre-back the strongest player on the game with a Hero Card after Panama qualified for this year’s World Cup.

What about gameplay – will this change?

We’re going to say no to this one. As EA Sports looks to build the game into an esport proper, it risks annoying fans / pro gamers if changes are too drastic.

After all, the reason why CSGo is so popular is because it’s kept the same core mechanics for a long, long time.

We’ll see improvements in animation and fewer instances of ‘randomness’. The game will feel tighter, but don’t expect drastic changes.

Will there be more stadiums added this year?

FIFA 18 featured more than 70 stadiums – including new additions such as LA Galaxy’s StubHub Center, Huddersfield Town’s John Smith’s Stadium and Brighton & Hove Albion’s Amex arena.

Recently, they even added 12 more, which arrive with the World Cup mode on May 29.

Sadly, though, there are still some notable omissions. No, we’re not just talking about the Camp Nou (PES has the license).

What about PES?

This year’s game will be vastly different to PES 2018, according to the series’ European Community Leader Adam Bhatti.

Since Bhatti was appointed to the role in 2013, Konami’s flagship football game has seen somewhat of a critical revival – with scores often trumping EA Sports’ FIFA.

Sadly, though, PES is still lagging some way behind EA’s in the sales department.

Guesswork? Data collection? Statistical analysis?

He leads a team of 9,000 data reviewers – a network of scouts, coaches and season ticket-holders whose job it is to watch as many matches as possible.

Rather than relying on statistics, the data reviewers upload subjective feedback on every player they’ve watched – all 18,000 of them – on a secure EA Sports website.

“We have many leagues in the game; no stats provider could offer us data for all these leagues, teams and players,” Mueller-Moehring told ESPN.

“This is also the reason why we use this online database, because it’s not possible to buy this data some way — it just doesn’t exist.”

If stats alone were used to determine players’ FIFA ratings, it would lead to inaccurate and misleading ratings.

“The stats are, in most cases, not taking into account very specific circumstances,” Mueller-Moehring explains.

“When you look at passing completion, if you play for Bayern Munich or if you play for Manchester City or if you play for Pep Guardiola, if your system is based on possession, you will have more successful passes than other players, but this doesn’t necessarily make you a better passer.

“And when you look at attributes like trapping and ball control, there is data, but the data never gives you the specific situations. Same for tackling.”

Every now and then a relatively unknown player is signed for a team in the game. But with such little amounts of data around for them, how is a score worked out?

“All you know about this player is his name, date of birth and his position — and his position may be as precise as, ‘Oh, he’s a midfielder.’,”Mueller-Moehring says.

“We guess a little bit … until our people have seen the player in action.”

Capturing a player’s mental make-up is also massively important – but with no stats to show this, the league a player is in is used make an educated guess.

“If Messi were playing in the Irish league, his attributes would drop simply because he’s not on the highest level anymore,” Mueller-Moehring explains.

“We want to base our ratings on actual performance data.”When it comes to physical attributes, it’s much more subjective.

“There are fast and strong players in every professional league in the world,” Mueller-Moehring says.

All of the feedback is then collated into 300 different data fields and 35 specific attribute categories, which determines the overall rating.

The same as last year’s version, most likely – starting from around £49.00 for the basic version, all the way up to £79.99, which will include some packs and bonuses.

What about lootboxes – is Ultimate Team going to change this year?

Lootboxes are gambling and are therefore illegal, the Belgian Gaming Commission has ruled.

The governing body looked at Star Wars Battlefront 2, FIFA 18, Overwatch and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and found three of the titles were in violation of the country’s gambling legislation.

Star Wars was the only title that did not break the rules because EA stripped out the game’s loot boxes after its launch debacle.

FIFA 18, Overwatch and CS:GO’s loot boxes rely on chance so are subject to Belgian gambling law.

A statement from Minister of Justice Koen Geens said the games were therefore illegal and demanded loot boxes to be removed.

Failure to do could result in EA risking “a prison sentence of up to five years and a fine of up to 800,000 euros”.

So, Ultimate Team is going to get scrapped, right?

Nope. Despite Belgium and the Netherlands ruling that loot boxes in games such as FIFA Ultimate Team are equivalent to gambling and in violation of their laws, EA vowed to ‘continue pushing forward’ with the controversial service.

“We’re going to continue pushing forward [with FIFA Ultimate Team],” EA CEO Andrew Wilson said during a conference call with industry analysts.

“We’re always thinking about our players. We’re always thinking about how to deliver these types of experiences in a transparent, fun, fair, and balanced way for our players — and we’ll continue to work with regulators on that.”

In an interview with Bloomberg last year, Wilson hinted the publisher could move away from an annual release cycle and towards an update and subscriptions model.

“The greatest disruptor to the consumption of entertainment media in the last five years has been the combination of streaming plus subscription,” he said.

“It’s changed the way we watch television. It’s changed the way we listen to music. It’s changed the way I read books.

“There’s a world where it gets easier and easier to move that code around — where we may not have to do an annual release. We can really think about those games as a 365-day, live service.” Interestingly, EA looks to have already dipped its toes in the water.

Although the Madden NFL Mobile game is now three years old, it’s been continually updated at the start of every season – essentially creating a new game.

The Frostbite engine was tweaked for FIFA 18, but arguably there were only very minor adjustments in animation and visual presentation.

EA Vancouver would have to re-write the entire code altogether to see a dramatic difference – something we can’t see happening for a good few years yet.

This, coupled with a greater number of gamers favouring digital game downloads over physical copies, could sway EA into ditching boxed copies and releasing a ‘FIFA 19’ patch instead.

This would work by updating rosters, faces and form – much like the patches we’re seeing in FIFA 18’s cycle, only bigger. It could even add a third season on to The Journey.

Streaming games is fast becoming more popular.

GeForce Now – a subscription-based service on the Nvidia Shield – offers a ‘Netflix for Games’, where the unit taps into cloud processing to ‘play’ hundreds of titles.

EA Access, which also uses a subscription model, offers members a chance to trial some of the latest games – as well as play a number of older titles in EA’s portfolio.

It could only be a matter of time before we see a FIFA game using a subscription-based model, rather than a traditional release.

For now, though, we’re certain things won’t change.

Will FIFA 19 be powered by Frostbite?

Yes, without a shadow of doubt. EA actually uses Frostbite across a load of their titles – including Battlefront and Need for Speed.

It’s far easier to standardise the in-house engine, rather than having different development teams battle with multiple software.

Plus, as it’s in-house (developed by DICE), EA will save money in the long run – as they won’t have to buy the right to use engines from other developers.

The downside is that those expecting a huge leap in graphics will be slightly disappointed.

By staying with the engine, we can’t expect to see too much of a boost over FIFA 18 – especially as EA will want it running smoothly on standard PS4s and Xbox Ones.

PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, though, should both start pulling away from their less-powerful siblings and boast the best-looking versions of the game (Along with PC, obviously).

EA Sports have decided to bless FIFA fans with a new trailer for the Journey: Champions, the third and final instalment of EA’s popular story mode.

Not only that, but footage has surfaced online of a new training feature within the mode.

And it looks a lot like piggy in the middle…
