EA SPORTS has released a brand new update for FIFA 19 on PC. Take a look at everything that's changing in the game ahead of the release of the new update on console in the coming days.

PSA - It's possible the new 1.08 update is rolling out to PS4 and Xbox One players today. We've seen some reports of a new update currently being released this morning. Stay tuned for updates.
Original Story - FIFA 19 Ultimate Team fans might have all eyes on the release of the new FIFA 19 TOTW 19 release coming tomorrow, but in the more immediate future, it's worth noting that EA has dropped the games first big title update, but only on PC.
The latest update includes a whole assortment of changes and fixes to Ultimate Team following the Christmas break. But PS4 and Xbox One fans won't see the benefit of these changes for at least a few more days or possibly up to a week, when EA Sports release the patch on console.
Typically EA has rolled out their latest updates on PC first before eventually releasing on console a few days later. Although the changes are almost always the same.
There's not too much to take in, because as Futhead has remarked in their analysis, it's a bit of a " bare bones".
"Amongst the new introductions, the FUT Champions Channel in the Weekend League sub-menus will now show more rage quits, your team will show up on the left in Team Management each time you play FUT Champs, and Pro Clubs friendlies now properly support extra time and penalties," remarked Futhead.
That being said, there have been a lot of changes to how shooting works and also the movement of keepers.
So if you're really into knowing every minute change coming to the game, read on.
Since we last addressed gameplay before the holidays, we've been looking at player feedback closely to determine changes that would bring more impact to areas we hear about often. There were concerns over Goalkeeper movement and Timed Finesse accuracy, specifically from outside of the box, and we're hoping changes covered within today's update bring a welcomed improvement in these areas. As always, we'll continue to monitor feedback from our community.
Addressed the following issues:
- An issue where a timed finesse shot would always have less error than a non-timed finesse shot, even in situations where the timed finesse shot was red or yellow.
- The level of error reduction for a timed finesse shot is now in line with the level of error reduction for other timed shots.

The hope for these changes is that it will directly address situations where players were finding it too easy to achieve green timed shots that were coming from a long pass, a cross or when queuing up a shot after a knock on during a run.
The impact of this change will scale with a higher impact on shots where the time between the initial button press to take the shot and the button press to perform Timed Finishing is longer.
- For example, a first time finesse shot where the ball is coming from a long distance away, or when queuing up a shot after a long knock on during a dribble.

Yellow timed shots effectiveness were reduced for this new update.
We received feedback that yellow-timed shots were too often resulting in a goal and adjustments were made to reflect a more consistent outcome where these types of shots are now more likely to be impacted by error resulting in potentially less accuracy, ball speed and ball spin.

Further reduced the likelihood that a shot which was correctly aimed into the net, and that was targeting a location near to the post, would miss the net in a shooting situation where the attacking player is under no defensive pressure and is not off balance.
This change builds further on the change that was made in Title Update 3.
Below you can see an example of 100 before and after shots as taken by Neymar on the following circumstances (blue lines represent shots on target, but not specifically resulting in a goal):
Goalkeeper movement speed when being controlled by manual movement was reduced in this patch. The impact of this will be higher when using manual movement during open play and lower when in set pieces situations (corners and free kicks).
Goalkeepers will now maintain a ready posture when being controlled by manual movement through the right stick controls.

After the last patch an issue with both Manager and Player Careers occurred where players were unable to grow their overall rating and instead was showing as -1 overall in multiple screens. This issue has been resolved with today's changes.
We also addressed the following issues:
- In Player Career, finishing in first place in your league at the end of the season was not properly awarding the Win The League accomplishment. The Emirates FA Cup Final match being scheduled the day before the final match of the Premier League season.
- This fix will not impact existing Career Mode save files, only new Career Mode save files.
Made the following changes:
- The fatigue reduction that is applied to a Pro Clubs player when it was being controlled by someone locked to a position has now also been applied to the players when they are being controlled by someone playing on 'Any'.
Addressed the following issues:
- In Pro Clubs, the Club Squad screen was not displaying the stats for each member of the club on the panel on the left side of the screen. Sometimes a Pro Clubs Virtual Pro's overall rating was incorrect when displayed in the Pro Clubs hub screens.
- The overall rating that was being shown in a match, including the end of match flow, was correct. The overall rating that was being used during gameplay was also correct, so this was a visual issue only. For players that were impacted by this issue, you could see the overall rating of your Virtual Pro, when displayed in the Pro Clubs hub, be lower than it was prior to the title update.
- The overall rating used in gameplay and shown during a match should remain the same.

EA Sports has announced FIFA 19 update version 1.08 and shared the full patch notes for it. This update is live now on PC and will be released for PS4 and Xbox One later.
As it is usual with most of the FIFA 19 updates, they take at least a week before getting released on consoles since this is the time frame and schedule for the last couple of updates. Here’s what’s new and fixed in this upcoming FIFA 19 update version 1.08 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Made the following changes:
- Reduced the maximum size of the Timed Finishing window for a green timed shot.
- The impact of this change will scale with a higher impact on shots where the time between the initial button press to take the shot and the button press to perform Timed Finishing is longer.
- For example, a first time finesse shot where the ball is coming from a long distance away, or when queuing up a shot after a long knock on during a dribble.

The ball speed of a yellow or red timed finesse shot was found to be too high and has been reduced. Rarely the goalkeeper was unable to move using manual movement during a corner kick. Rarely, in a situation where the goalkeeper thinks that the ball is going to go out of play but didn’t, such as due to a deflection or an opposing player taking control of the ball, the goalkeeper was not reacting properly. If an AI Teammate runs into or jumps into the opposing goalkeeper it was possible for it to result in a goal and no called foul.
- This should now properly result in a foul being called and the goal not being allowed.
- An AI Teammate is any player on the pitch that is not being controlled by a human, or is not the CPU AI Controlled Player.
Addressed the following issues:
- Sometimes the ‘Take Me There’ link for a Squad Building Challenge (SBC) would not take the player to the SBC screen.
- If this issue occurred, attempting to change tabs in the FUT hub would also not work correctly.
When completing an SBC with rewards that contained multiple packs of the same type, the SBC Completion Screen was only displaying the name under one of the packs. Attempting to list a player on the Transfer Market from the SBC Squad Screen, who had just been purchased off the Transfer Market, would sometimes result in an error.
Addressed the following issues:

Because EA bought Konami out their La Liga license over 4 years ago, because they didnt like the fact they had full La Liga treatment, including all 20 stadiums, even though it took over 4 years for EA to use that stolen license themselves! So Konami are slowly buying single licenses to **** EA off, hence the Nou Camp exclusivity..

There is, only India, lol. But obviously India is also semi-licensed and barely will have any use in FIFA. But I guess that's because EA don't want to upset 1 billion Indian fans. With the case of China I feel EA removed China thinking it won't upset them too much as the Chinese Super League will be in the game.
With no China and Saudi Arabia in the national list. That means FIFA 19 will have 2 national teams less than FIFA 18. That's not very good. At least they should've acquired a quick license negotiation for Croatia, Nigeria, Japan, etc. Especially with Brazil now having generic names it's horrible. At least if it was semi-licensed with authentic players and names.
Because EA bought Konami out their La Liga license over 4 years ago, because they didnt like the fact they had full La Liga treatment, including all 20 stadiums, even though it took over 4 years for EA to use that stolen license themselves! But then again there were hardly any Asian teams in the FIFA series at all despite for years fans calling for new teams to be added such as Japan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Korea (which was removed). While FIFA 18 had Saudi Arabia it got removed this year as well as China.

Now it is possible that after this incident EA Sports themselves were secretly angry (subconsciously) and decided to axe out Saudi Arabia National Team from FIFA 19 and not make any licensing agreement with them.
Personally, I think the decision is a bad one. EA Sports should attempt to hold as maximum number of licenses as possible. Because otherwise Konami will find a great opportunity to capture them. Whether someone dislikes any national team or not whether for political reason. We all agree that having more national teams and league licenses is good for the enrichment of the game.

The following changes are mainly focused on improving accessibility to the game and visual updates. Check out the full FIFA 19 title update 8 patch notes below.
The accessibility aspect of this latest update now offers a new setting in order to aid colour blind players. Once this update becomes available, users will be offered a choice between three new colour settings under a new accessibility icon at the bottom left of the FIFA 19 menu screen.
Once one of these new colour options has been selected, it will apply to all screens within the game. Accessibility updates also provide changes to the indicator above the selected player's head during a game. The player indicator can now be made bigger in order to clearly indicate which player has been selected.
Visual and presentation updates include over 200 new 2D portraits (new faces) to players who previously did not have one. Over 700 players who previously had portraits have now had their original images updated. These new visual changes also include updates to a number of team kits, crests and banners.
Visual changes are important, as they can often bring a sense of realism to the game. Although subtle and nothing major, these latest FIFA 19 title update 8 (version 1.09) changes should universally improve each user's experience of the game. Although no gameplay changes have been implemented, below are all the details that you can expect to see coming to PS4 & Xbox One soon…

Accessibility:
Made the following changes:
- The Accessibility settings can now be accessed from the FIFA Main Menu by selecting the new Accessibility icon in the bottom left of the screen. Added a new Colour Blindness setting. There are three options that will make changes to all screens in the game. Protanopia (Red Weak) Deuteranopia (Green Weak) Tritanopia (Blue Weak) If the setting is set to Default, it will have no impact on the game. Added a new Player Indicator Size setting. Enabling this setting will cause the player’s overhead indicator, to show which player they are controlling in gameplay, to be larger. In an Online Match, only the indicator for your controlled player will be larger.

Made the following changes:
- Added 2D portraits to over 200 players that previously did not have a portrait. Updated 2D portraits on over 700 players. Updates to a number of team kits, crests and banners.
Addressed the following issues:
- The crests of some teams were not displaying correctly in the La Liga broadcast package.

Without further ado, here are the highlights of the FIFA 19 1.08 update patch notes.

- Timed Finesse shots are now less effective The “green” Timed Finishing window has been reduced Yellow Timed Finishing shots will now be off-target more often than not Finesse shots (both Timed and non-Timed) from outside the box have been nerfed
Plus, in non-Timed Finishing shooting changes, near post shots inside the box are more likely to hit the target or, at least, challenge the keeper. Previously, they’d have a tendency to veer wide.
Ah, Career Mode. EA traditionally leaves things be in this ever-present single-player mode but there’s been a few changes with the FIFA 19 1.08 update.
Firstly, ratings that were previously stagnant for no reason, and sometimes showed a -1 stat drop across all attritbutes, are now back to normal. In addition to that, fixes have been brought in for the FA Cup Final being played before the end of a Premier League season as well as those finishing top not obtaining the “Win The League” accomplishment.
“Any” players, rejoice! Your Pro’s stamina will now drop at the same rate as the rest of your players, whereas previously it wasn’t on a level playing field with players who chose to play in a specific position. That’s ironic. You should also now be able to see your squad’s stats in the Club menu for goals, assists, and so on. This has been absent since launch.
Goalkeepers who are being manually moved by players using the right stick are nowhere near as quick to change direction post-update. Pre-1.08, they could be used to rapidly come and claim free kicks and corners.
